  1. Just a bit of history on the latter one in your post but the St just site was Lower Bostraze and it reopened in the 1960's and used a oil fired kiln till its closure in 1991 when it was deemed not cost effective.

  9. Hello i thought i would finally Start one of these blogs i've been trying to decide on where to base my new exibithion layout after the learning curve of my last layout brook road. I was toying wiv a few ideas but wanted a layout with local history i was talking to a fellow member of hayle who had buillt many moons ago a layout based on newham quay that after getting over apost crimbo flu it cam to me nobody had modeled hayle wharfs so i set about planing away i hope to include a working sand loader although im going to have to compress it slightly as it woked out about 20ft x 4 ft so i hoped a modest 12ft x 2ft will work i also plan on running it slighty more modern as if the branch hasn't closed in 1978 alowing for a bit more flexibility so i can run oil tankers and scrap with the possibilty of some general freight. Im hoping to use 2 wallpaper paste tables suitably beefed up which should cheer my fiance up as there out the way if any body has pictures or map of the branch it would be very helpful thanks dave
