  1. That's a couple of dance halls coming my way, the SECR is becoming very well served in 'N' 😊
  2. The website appears to be up and running again now. Good news.
  3. Whenever I have something switch to "delivered" on online tracking through Evri/Yodel/Amazon what it actually means is it's been chucked on the doorstep in plain view of the world and a vague photos confirms I have it in my possession. As to the last part it all depends on if it's still there when I get home. If I was dishonest I could claim non delivery in every case because a doorstep is not delivered, just abandoned. Of course on occasion the "evidence" photo means a trip around the neighbours to see if you can find a front door the same colour as in the photo.
  4. Pretty much except I use a needle or cocktail stick to slide the transfer off the backing paper. Initially I lay it on the model next to where the transfer needs to go so when sliding it off it's more or less where it should be before adjusting. I model in N so no transfers are that large although this process works just as well on coach lining which is about a long a transfer as I'll ever use.
  5. I always lay the transfer on the model and then add a drop of cold water from a paint brush. Been doing it 20+years and never a problem.
  6. Yep, it's the screw that also holds the front pony truck in. Remove it and slide the chassis forward a touch and it will come out. The cylinder moulding will now be loose and will easily fall off and can be tricky to put back on.
  7. I have been using Fox transfers for over 20 years and never once used warm/hot water. Regarding release times I am currently applying transfers to a loco from 2 separate but identical sheets, one purchased a couple of weeks ago and one possibly 3-4 years old. The new one is taking approx 30-35 seconds to release and the older one 10-15 so read into that what you will.
  8. Because to avoid selling fees sellers would have a buy it now price of a £1 despite the item being worth more with a £30 postage fee. Another loophole eBay closed.
  9. I asked Fox to produce some in 'N' to go with their number sheets and they duly obliged but have never listed them so they have the artwork so drop them a line.
  10. The new M7 is unique. The first updated model that is worse than the one it replaced. So many issues and so many questions as to how and why 😔
  11. What an appalling reply from Dapol. They couldn't have possibly checked it thoroughly as it clearly slopes forward and I have seen straight ones so saying they don't think they will get any better suggests they can't be bothered to look. As for claiming they have not had this ongoing problem with other customers who are they trying to kid? There are reports of the sloping issue all over the web and their own Digest. They even posted a possible solution to solve it which, unfortunately, doesn't appear to work. The revised M7 falls short in a number of areas, they are fully aware but appear to be trying to sweep them under the carpet and go into denial. It is a pity as an updated version showed so much promise.
  12. Unfortunately not. It's been tried on another forum but there are numerous differences both front and rear.
  13. I would return it. It doesn't appear to be only a few models affected and issues aren't just limited to the sloping footplate or to just one livery but across all the new releases. On the Dapol Digest Joel confirmed all locos would be checked at Chirk and sloping footplates corrected by their "bending of their pick ups solution" before dispatch after the problems raised with the first releases but this evidently wasn't done or didn't solve things. As already mentioned this revised model has been a disappointment and possibly worse than the originals (except the original plastic handrails that warped). If people just put up with the poor QC Dapol can't learn for the future.
  14. Mine arrived this morning; LNER black, lined in red. Not exactly pre grouping Southern but a rule 1 purchase. Wow. Visibly excellent, virtually silent, very smooth running at all speeds (on DC) and a great price. Congratulations Sonic.
