  1. The "45" pictured above, is I'm sure on the Down Fast at Oxmadike crossing.
  2. 67282, Paragon pilot, at Victoria Crossing, c1955. No details.
  3. No461, is a Class J74 ex NERly engine, and not H&BRly as stated, here is another view, this time at Sprinhead.
  4. H&BRly Class A, Up empties passing through North Cave c1910.
  5. Walton Street level crossing, seen from a York bound DMU c1962. The late Mike Lake.
  6. 30368, if you want to know more about H&BRly engines, get yourself a copy of my mate's book, a few quid on E Bay or Amazon. Details attached.
  7. Here is an interesting might have been, a c1914 proposal to buid a loop south of Springhead, it would have left the Main Line roughly at Wolferton Lane.
  8. 12114, shunting the Hump at New Inward Yard, mid '50's. No details.
  9. John, from what you describe and if I have it right, to acess a washout plug.
  10. A similar c1960 view to 56068, as posted by Rob above.
  11. Rob, I'm sure the train is going to South Howden, left distance are what I take to be the houses on Willeby Road etc, then they would only be a couple of years old. Far right is Springhead works etc, just visable right middle is No38 bridge, this was later filled in.
  12. H&BRly No3 withdrawn in 1922, the photo' was taken19 September 1904 .
