  1. So I buy a cake, bring it to the show, donate it to the cause, then buy a slice of it to eat? Sounds like a plan.
  2. If any of you are visiting this show today, please do stop and say hello - I'll be sat somewhere making buildings.
  3. Apologies - Castell 009 will not be appearing, but I will be there demonstrating making model buildings.
  4. My latest commission is now underway - Bow Station, Devon, in 1:76 scale.
  5. Considering this as a possible outfit for the day.
  6. With regards to stability, I only use a maximum height of a 5 plank wagon to be transferred, definitely not a box van.
  7. They are quite stable, at low speeds, and with the slight dip in the 'rail' for the std gauge wagon, they don't roll off either. I agree they should be much lower, but the 16.5mm wheel sets don't fit over the 9mm chassis ( that I used). Maybe inside framed NG wagons might be better?
  8. Yes, the client wants this same house in a derelict state too.
  9. This is just about done. A cottage that stood next to the Ticknell Tramway.

  11. How about this: https://www.scalemodelscenery.co.uk/kx049-oo-gtc-engineering-works---oo4mm176-16466-p.asp
  12. Could you cut the backscene curve instead, just for the height of the building?
  13. Well, I tried to grab your vacated space, but El Flooro was having none of it.
  14. That would be exactly my proposal, should the GWR line have remained open and the SR one closed. Also, with the current track layout at Bodmin Parkway, there is no direct route to Bodmin General from the mainline.
  15. Er, update on the last update - apparently I've over-stepped the brief and tried to grab more space than is available, so Castell will not be making a visit, although it will be at the Helston Club's show in Pool ( not Poole) on 13/14 April.
  16. Due to the sporadic nature of my attendance, due to not knowing which day it is and what I'm supposed to be doing, I had missed this question. Suffice to say that I was aiming for the Naughty Step, rather than the Gents, however should the Floor Master & Chief Choreographer decree that that is where I am to be, then c'est la vie. But I'll be keeping all the choccy cake to myself !
  17. Apparently Mrs Stubby sees nothing incorrect, libelous or otherwise insulting in this statement, in fact it would appear a total agreement is proposed. As such, there maybe some sort of chocolate cake donated to the cause ( @Graham_Muz) , however, this may or may not be complete on arrival.
  18. I will be bringing Castell to SWAG again this year, but it will be fully operational as a roundy-roundy. Hopefully it will also have much more detailing and possibly a couple of new buildings. I might even add some people.
  19. Seeing as how Mr Spams has unfortunately had to withdraw, would it be possible to request a larger plot in order to cater for an increase in the chocolate cake eating area?
  20. Gents, sorry for the delay in replying. We've considered selling the items as 'kits', but due to the wi-fi element the system would still require CE certification. As such, the whole project is on hold. I, for one, am gutted, because having built a couple of layouts using the prototype, it is far easier to set up Isolation sections, point control and frog polarity switching and accessory control than anything I've seen or used before.
  21. An alternative to new doors could be a rubber flap at the base of the original doors.
