  1. Thanks Dave! Just the chassis for now, I plan on scratch building the body, although the 3D printed body looks very nice! Thanks for sharing your progress on your G1, will certainly help when I come round to motorising it!
  2. Fantastic work! Just found this thread and been scrolling through, your work is very inspiring! Thanks for sharing your G1 chassis on Shapeways, I ordered one the other day, looking at scratch-building a G1 with a rake of D3D coaches. Keep up the good work!
  3. The end coaches will be longer as the body goes over the bogie, and not upto it as per an intermediate end. sga962, have you tried using the arc tool instead of the circle in SketchUp? I found that worked for me.
  4. Can't help with the etches but the bogies are available as spares http://www.petersspares.com/Hornby-x3450-eurostar-articulated-coach-bogie.ir Im not too genned up on Eurostars, but the Hornby intermediate coaches, could you not chop the non articulated end off and make it articulated? Just a thought.
  5. Thank you to all that have helped me through the project, can't believe I forgot to post photos of the finished result! 47475 Mk2a FK 13445 Mk1 NEA 92092 Shed line-up The rake The 47 and FK were complete re-sprays, with the rest of the rake having the lower body panel re-sprayed Executive Light Grey (the NEA was a standard Bachmann NEA and the TSO the Model Rail Regional Railway Limited Edition TSOs). I finished them off just as Model Rail announced their Trans-Pennine specials! Cheers Daryl
  6. Hi Alex, Unfortunately I can't see the pictures, they say 'Upgrade to Plus for additional bandwidth' Cheers Daryl
  7. What are the blocks under the buffer beam either side of the coupling? Mounting holes for electrical stuff from it's EPS days? Cheers Daryl
  8. Nice bit of modelling there, Its nice to see wheelsets modelled properly, not just painted brown and chucked on a layout!
  9. I wish Toton was like that now!
  10. Excellent modelling there Alex, well done! Cheers Daryl
  11. Hi Alex, The buffer stops are a bit dirty, everything gets dirty! They also have massive cracks in from various rough shunts over the years! Cheers Daryl
  12. This thread might help http://www.rmweb.co.uk/community/index.php?/topic/45179-regional-railway-trans-pennine-provincial-livery-help/page__fromsearch__1 Cheers Daryl
