Can anyone help with the above? I only need one really - right hand side of the loco when viewed head on - but I’d happily take a full set of 4. Oh, and if you have the steps that would be fantastic 😊
Nottingham (Bulwell) MRC's exhibition at the Victoria Baths was mine. My late Dad was a member and took me for a few years in succession which really whet my appetite for model railways. I think Dad was helping to operate a finescale GW branch terminus called Rhossilli, which he was very enthusiastic about despite being a dyed in the wool LNER/GN man.
One year he overcame his aversion to diesels and bought me a newly released Lima Class 50 (043 - Eagle in LL blue) for the princely sum of £9.50. I remember it like it was yesterday. Thanks Dad.
With some Bachmann locos the numbers can be removed by gentle but firm pressure with a cocktail stick alone. The numerals seem to crack and flake off due to the friction. If it makes a squeaky noise when you do it then that seems to be about the right amount of pressure. Not scientific I know, but it works for me!
It was in a loco (can’t remember which one) that came to me as part of a job lot. I use analogue so these things are a mystery to me I’m afraid. Thanks for the replies so far though.
I’m with Steven on this, and I’ve ranted about it on another thread. Why Railmatch and Phoenix can’t get their acts together and sell a product that is fit for purpose is beyond me. As mentioned above, Halfords (and others) seem to manage it.
I think I can recall seeing photos of Class 45's at Perth (I'm sure I'm not imagining it) but I am certain I have never seen or heard any evidence of one traversing the Highland line north of Perth to Inverness. As stated previously, they did venture up the East Coast to Aberdeen occasionally in later years.
