  1. Here is a better front view. I do not know if the windows necessarily droop or if there is a little more peak to the roofline. The real test will be to inspect the decorated samples, which are due soon, to see how well the overall look of a 56 has been captured.
  2. Once both Dapol and Rails have approved the decoration, then Rails will hopefully share the pictures and it it will be "go" for production.
  3. We have received the deco sample of 88010 in Cool Freight livery, which looks really good. The DRS ones should not be too far behind.
  4. There is an excellent resource for old Dapol and Farish catalogues HERE. https://www.ness-st.co.uk/N-gauge-catalogues.html The Farish 1978 product poster is the last mention of the OO Gauge range of coaches and wagons. I recall the Farish OO Gauge models tended to linger on shelves for several years after this!
  5. I recall some of the coaches and wagons lasting into the late 1970s with the black and gold packaging.
  6. We are now looking at mid-April for all the decos, as the factory has spent a lot of time on the DRS versions getting the livery right. The fade-outs of the turquoise into the blue and the "spider-web" , which fades from white to pink has been really challenging. We have been sent some pictures of the bodies in the basic livery and they look superb. Cannot wait to see the fully-decorated and finished locos. 88010 in Cool Freight livery has been completed and is spot-on. We will share pictures once we have the decos properly photographed.
  7. Please remember that we have had Chinese New Year since 13 Feb, which can cause a big hiatus to anything from China. The biggest reason for a lack of updates is that there is nothing to update.
  8. Decos now due end of March / early April. I do not like the wait, either! I'd better watch my back - I think someone's after my job 😀
  9. I am really sorry about the delay to the O Gauge 66, which is partially my fault, taking over the project half way through. The first EP unfortunately contained a number of errors, which has meant a complete retool. We are making a number of improvements, including backing to the engine room grilles with lighting, smoke and DCC sound provision. The new EPs should be ready in a couple of months and the artworks are all done and ready to go. The 66 is the biggest loco we have ever tackled and will be well worth the wait. Please keep the faith!
  10. There's something about that black and silver...
  11. Thank you so much for the assistance with the lettering and signage for the Hanson wagons. The artwork has been modified and will be correct for production.
  12. I must say that the Mk1 FOs in INTERCITY Charter livery are very splendid. A pity the bogies have not been decorated but otherwise splendid.
  13. Should be easy to fix, providing production hasn't started.
  14. We have asked for the brake discs to be changed to silver for the production batch.
  15. The 88 samples are now due in March. There was a bit of a delay due to the factory perfecting the servo-driven pantograph (which now looks great). The Class 59s should be ready for deco samples soon - the artwork has been refined and there have been changes to the lighting and silencer mouldings this time around. That's it - I'm off to Benidorm for a week!
  16. OO Sales are three to four times those in N, so some of the liveries that didn't make the cut originally may well do so this time!
  17. Hi John Our 50 looks pretty good to me and the feedback has been really positive. I appreciate that the indicator box needs improvement but what aspects of the model bother you? I doubt if we could run to a complete retool in the current financial climate but a tweak here or there might be possible.
  18. Great news and a logical choice. Nice for our 323 to have a playmate!
  19. I have been reliably informed that Duke did not carry the fire-bottles pre-Virgin. The artwork has been duly corrected.
  20. Hi Steven - we are not able to easily change the numbers, as the details have been sent out to our retailers. I feel the majority of customers will not be too worried about the exact dates a loco carried a specific livery. Rest assured, if this model is successful, there will be a further run, including more typical versions of Executive livery.
  21. The first Engineering Prototype shots are now online. Look at all that lovely, separately-fitted roof detail! The bodywork is great but the pantographs are still a work in progress. Click HERE
  22. Hi Steve We are now looking at Q2/Q3 2024 for these to arrive. Frustrating, I know (especially as I need a few).
  23. I have a real soft spot for the Farish Mark 3, being an excellent platform for Electra conversions and have to admit the bodywork and shape is really excellent. For the GWR Sleeper seated coaches, they are an ideal way of correctly modelling all the window modifications. The downside is that they are very light and see-through. If these had been upgraded with interiors and improved couplings, then it the completion would have been much hotter.
  24. Those are excellent choices for a follow-up run. Not sure about the twin headlight version, as that would incur some hefty tooling costs (new front end and new light runs).
