  1. Well I like to help! Coincidentally thats what the boxes are called too.
  2. I knew I'd seen one recently but just couldn't think where!
  3. I dont know sorry - but someone on here will have them or a photo of their model Might be worth trying in the wanted section.
  4. Tower have just had a restock from Parkside....
  5. Gave the 33 a quick test today as I was about to put it up for sale. Sounds like it is derailed - I assume a split gear. Was perfect a month ago. I can see why people get so annoyed about Heljan now - resisting the temptation to take it apart when I'm still angry.
  6. Someone did a thread on this not that long ago. Those clear plastic boxes that Hobby Craft sell with foam board dividers for stock
  7. E140 and 145 respectively. The later E147s also common down that way. The Looe branch had an all third in the same family as "Airfix" B sets with 7ft bogies, which is what I was referring to. I've been toying with a cut and shut in 7mm from the Lionheart stock. A few corridor bow ended all thirds got used as supplementary coaches as well.
  8. I may well be remembering diagrams wrong - will check again later Edit: I was thinking of c61/63 collett types whereas i now realise c83 is the later equivalent
  9. Also Maroon, as opposed to carmine/crimson (red), was unlined initially and then lined later I dont think you've said which branch you are referring to but a few 4575s stayed in black to the end. Then there is the choice of BR logo - St Blazey certainly had a few lined early enough to have the lion and wheel, others went straight to totem. I'm not sure how common c83s were. A few photos around of one on the Looe branch but certainly not as widespread as the E140/145 brake composites or even the similar brake 3rds.
  10. Where did you work them? I grew up in Southampton in the 70s/80s so we got 33s on Portsmouth to Bristol for a time plus some of the Bournemouth inter-regional trains, as far as the loco change at Reading. Your thread reminds me we must also have got these on oil trains from Fawley although I dont honestly remember seeing them.
  11. Our replies crossed. I read that codes could be several things depending on which division and period (and then bars above the digits come into play as well). Definitely photos of C2 at Bournemouth but Plymouth local is more appropriate for my Bodmin theme!
  12. Cheers I've forgotten now but there is a list online somewhere I found and for South West division it covered the Bournemouth area, along with 2C, depending on the class of train. D6509 was one of the ones transferred to Eastleigh and appears in a few of the photos I had.
  13. 33 now finished. I'll probably sell this on once hand delivery is possible but for now it proves I do occasionally finish things!
  14. Might be bad luck but have had a bit of a break over the summer then the first 3 tins I've opened this week all had a skin on. I was going to ask if anyone decants paint into jars or anything like that to store?
  15. Presumably they have had the same problem if they are only just starting to save now, 3 1/2 years after it was announced!
  16. I doubt there will be any requirements: The pitfalls are so obvious they clearly dont care. I've just watched someone ride one along the platform flat out as a tube pulled in. When the doors opened and people got off, he was still going full tilt on the edge of the platform leaving everyone to dive out of the way. Beyond moronic, that's wilfully being anti social.
  17. On the subject of e scooters, the BBC reported about a couple of weeks ago they are likely to be made legal shortly as they are seen as a solution to the reduction in public transport capacity due to covid distancing.
  18. Cant see Johnny Depp advertising that somehow.
  19. I assume this is all tongue in cheek but to me those 503s are about as attractive as Wayne Rooney. In contrast the Hampshire efforts are, well, a bit more Theo Walcott. Just sayin'.
  20. Excellent thanks! Yes now you say that I should have realised the body side radiators would be smack in the way of a side corridor.
  21. Hi, hoping for some class 33 help please! The back of the cab is different at each end - one has a door in the middle and one on the left. I cant remember which goes at which end? Thanks
  22. Absolutely lashing down in West London. I had my heart set on a farmer's market pie but even I'm not that keen!
