It certainly is a valid excuse! It's a great experience isn't it?
I was once invited onto the footplate of a pannier on the KWVR and fired it for a few miles. I was surprised how rough the ride was. The bearing and suspension gave a ride that felt and sounded like a cement mixer!
Best wishes,
Michael

A 2mm padlock? - insane - but I love it.
The backdrop is also very nice. Is it painted or a photo? If it is painted, what medium is it?

Lovely - beats many OO gauge layouts. The signalman leaning out of the box really adds to the scene.

Hi Missy,
I haven't seen your work before - I don't usually look at 2mm stuff as it's not my scale, but I've been missing out haven't I?
I am very impressed by your work (so much detail!) and will definitely be looking in regularly from now on.
Best wishes,
Michael

Will have to try the nail varnish remover myself. Interesting idea for the front numberplate too.
Looking forward to more posts.

I sympathise with you here Chris and agree with your sentiments. And isn't it often the case that this type of unbalanced person is often the one with a beautifully detailed loco on their layout next to a tree that is obviously a lolly stick with a scouring pad on the top!
