Kozel Cement is actually my (Dave Paylor) layout …the booking was sent in by Mark Pearson.

Well, after a break from the Dutch layout (name still not decided)  me and Paul, finally started doing a bit more today, the test bit of faller road was sanded back (i did it a bit thick) Paul then laid a stretch of new road, using plaster of paris which was coloured grey, I fitted the rest of the magnets for the level crossing, we also started getting some ballast down.

Quite a bit of progress for one night.

A little something I’ve been working on as a gap filler…..quite pleased so far!

Had an enjoyable running session tonight with Drabford, even managed some snaps!

I’ve also been doing a bit of work on my old Riverossi 1100, I’ve grafted some old Lima 1700 noses onto it, next job is to neaten them up and also to file more of an angle onto it, hopefully matching it to the Roco 1100.

Ok so a bit more progress over last few weeks, track and points wired, cobalts fitted and a control panel built, to item I’ve been doing a bit I’d scenery so thought I’d share some of the latest pics.

I didn’t take any NS coaches with me so I had to press some SNCB coaches I just acquired into my photos

the ends of the chassis have crumbled  and crack is in the main casting, though online I have seen more severe failures.

Hiya we had a few shows to attend so had some layout fettling to do, hopefully will be some updates after next Tuesday

I rescued this GBs? Van from box of scrap parts, I added some new axle box assemblies from my piko bits I got from the last works open day, I also added a some pallets with bags on, which I picked up from Anoraks Annoymous, it’s turned out pretty good for a scrapper I think   

So I’ve now, take over the excellent “A taste of Alber” layout which is a very nice model depicted in TTe scale, whilst getting it ready to go to the club today, it had some pretty good sunlight on it, in the boot, so here’s some snaps

Well day 1 all done, Kozel has performed well, roll on tomorrow !!

So another Tuesday night “down the club” and we’ve made a little more progress , even managed to get most of the catenary masts in, also got the plaster bandages on , and a coat of poster paint over all that when it had dried, lastly a sprinkling of static grass to end the evening

After purchasing a job lot of NS models, me and another member of the ERTMS ( on Facebook) group decided we should start a small NS layout, the general Idea was two mainlines with a passing loop, well, this is extended now a bit, to include the end of two loops as well as a Vam Compost unloading point, for added interest we will be using the faller road system on this project (totally new to me).

After some trawling on Thingiverse (free 3D prints) I found some very nice prints of pre cast concrete OHLE as used on the line between Hilversum and Utrect , so it was decided this would be the route we would model.

I’ll post updates as we go, hope you enjoy them

Ok it’s been a loooong while since I posted here, but after various HO projects, this is my latest thing, a TT shunting plank, it will split in the middle and latch together for carrying with an over case covering most bits, will be best on a small Czech Terminus with a small industry type unit attached.
