  1. It was nice to meet you today @big jim. Sorry you had to have a rather moist walk. I tried to get your control to arrange for someone to do the plunger on your behalf but their reply was " The driver will do it." From that I presumed they had already discussed it with you.
  2. I believe it was said, many posts ago, that an additional magnetic NEM coupling will be included with the coaches to fit to your chosen loco.
  3. Hi Jack, Could you tell me where I can purchase the kit of the Porthmadog Harbour station signal box? Would definitely love to have one of these! Cheers Rob
  4. I've made one of my infrequent visits!! I think I'd be the best person to test it to see if it's idiot proof
  5. They all had one exhaust port blanked off as it was quickly discovered that when dragging Pendo's the exhaust gases were getting drawn into the Pendo's air-con system and gassing the passengers!!!!!
  6. Like your DRS 37 profile picture!!!

  7. Like your DRS 37 profile picture!!!

  8. Herne Hill? The Velodrome where Bradley Wiggins started his cycle racing.
  9. Very good!! I wonder how many locals have a 'double take' at that car?? I also wonder if that was a fluke reg or if it was specially ordered from the DVLA by the owner??
  10. Hi Leon, Thanks for the compliment on the 60's. I use the airbrush to put the paint on in the general area I need it and then take it off where I don't with the damp cotton bud. I can't take any credit for the technique, I got the idea off the Model Rail weathering DVD. It's worth getting!! Rob
  11. Use a cotton bud dampened with thinners and rub it vertically down the side of the loco leaving the streaks you desire. I've added a couple of examples of mine done with this method. (Ignore the wonky buffer on Mainline Blue one!!) Rob
  12. Have you checked that you have the two 23mm speakers in phase? If not they cancel each other out resulting in very poor sound output. Sorry if I'm teaching you to suck eggs............ phasing is where both speaker cones move in the same direction when operated. The easiest way to do this is using a PP3 9v battery touch the speaker terminals on the battery terminals and note which way the cone moves and which terminal (+ or -) touches which speaker terminal. Repeat with the next speaker and then connect the 'same' terminals together. I've tried the Base Reflex and gone back to the two 23mm method!! By far the best way in my opinion! Regards Rob
