  1. DY444 you beat me to it! I fully agree. After reading this thread a couple of days ago. I retreived my class 56 and tried to run it. It didn't move! I thought at first it was the motor, so I took that out and it worked fine. On examining the gear towers, i found that both of the outside bearings had siezed solid, for the reasons given. A thorough clean of the whole of both gear towers, relube and all is well again.
  2. John Do you mean the swing/length of movement or the speed? Brian
  3. Having caught up with this topic I tought I would dig out my Peco SmartSwitch set and have a go. I managed to set it up correctly and the servo arm moves, but it has a juddering effect. Is this normal or have I missed something? Any comments would be appreciated. Brian
  4. I had this situation on my Blue Large Logo one when I used a ESU V4.0 non sound chip. When I replaced that with a cheapo gaugemaster 21pin chip, the lights work in the correct fashion! Brian
  5. Ivan Can you confim this solution for wandering pony trucks works please, once you have tried it please? I have the same problem. I tried releasing the screw thast holds the pony truck on, but that didn/t make any difference. Brian
  6. Yes. One yellow wire to the centre contact, the other yellow wire to both of the remaining contacts. Due to the construction of the Peco switch (passing contact effected on one side only at a time for each throw), when the Peco switch is thrown, the contact is made once, hence changing the Dapol signal to "off". Throwing the Peco lever back makes one contact again, hence returning the signal to "on". I have found that throwing the Peco switch needs to be done slowly. (another) Brian
  7. As one who is also awaiting shipment of Lion from Rails, I would agree with you, but having taken my money 2 weeks ago, it is not acceptable. No more orders from me unless there is no alternative. Brian
