    I've just met Dick Turpin in the local Vauxhall dealers, £600 for a new air conditioning pump on a car thst has only done 8,000 miles. Daylight robbery

      Or try a direct approach complaint to manufacturers HQ "customer service".

      I did and got £600 towards the cost of a replacement Heater Matrix on a Focus just 4yrs old and 30,000 miles. Perhaps it helps to have worked in the car industry (not Ford!) and know how to approach and word the complaint. If it's not too late, get the broken item, (It belongs to you!) and ask Mfr. for an engineering opinion for the reason it failed. Logic says the it should have been designed...
