Thanks Kevin for all of your insider information on the freight in and around Bristol.
I did think that the LPG workings may have been a bit later than your photos show ( the last one that I saw had a Class 58 in 1996/7)
Regarding BR allocation of Class 25 the last one that I spotted behind Bath Road was from memory 25123 in 1984.
I also vividly remember pairs of 20's on the flasks from Bridgwater (probably 1986) easing their way north through Lawrence Hill. I don't suppose that you have any pics of 20's in and around Bristol at that time or earlier ?
Cheers,
Matt.

An excellent thread and I am really looking forward to the Avonmouth side of things.
Furzebrook - Hallen LPG
Avonmouth - Immingham Norsk Hydro
Are two workings that I can remember, of course its mainly imported coal these days and quite alot of it which has me thinking: Is it busier on the freight only line to/from Avonmouth now than it was 'back in the day' ?
Network Rail always seem to have a couple of crews on Moorhouse Lane 'doing something or other near to the railway bridge.
Many thanks for spending the time scanning your old pics, it is well worth the effort as too are the info that goes with them.
Here's a pic of the bridge on Moorhouse Lane taken early last year.

An album by Limelight (can't remember the title)
And other early 80's heavy metal a spin, some of the artwork of the albums is superb.

60001 approaching Brighouse on 6E14 Seaforth to Tinsley, 18th April 2014.
An excellent image, worthy of a place in the printed media or maybe a RMWeb calender, I would definately buy one.
Shouldn't there be a RMWeb photography comp ?

Rooney is by far the most overated player in any league/weekly wage.
I hope that he gets injured and therefore cannot go to Brazil and somebody with raw talent and hunger for international football get's his bum on the plane.
Yes I dislike Rooney but I want to see England do well in the Summer.

6 to 8 weeks is alright by me. Our next sorte on Dawlish will probably be early July as it will be nice to work up a thirst from Dawlish Warren to Dawlish on foot.

I think that it is safe to say that Liverpool will win the league, Utd will hopefully miss out on the Europa and by the look of things Palace should stay up.
It's a funny old game
Oh and Arsenal for the FA Cup (sadly)
