  1. Good question on the decoder! I am hoping Rails do an Easter sale and we might see further reductions on theirs.
  2. Looks like Heljan did an 'HO' version and Bachmann the 'OO' version to me! Yet to see mine side-by-side. Think I might have to keep them apart to avoid them show each other up!
  3. Got my early SR vans this morning - yippee! I would like some additional 'Fyffes' labels for them and I am sure I saw someone did them. For the life of my cannot remember or find where I saw them. Anyone got any idea (where I might source some from) please?
  4. Given how well the RTC stock does, I have a feeling that we need to be on our toes as I am pretty sure we can expect to see more RTC liveried options in the pipeline at some stage. Following on from the current releases, my appetite is certainly whetted!
  5. Duly ordered! Yay - so excited. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you!
  6. Been messing about with my lovely new E2001. On DC the lights all work. Obviously dip switches are showing as on. Tried both original Bachmann 36-577 and TCS 1344 decoders. Front head and tail lights working fine. Cannot fathom how to get the cab lights or engine room lights to work though. Tried all the obvious things including decoder resets, remapping etc all to no avail. Cab lights should be on F5 and engine room lights on F6. Need to spend more time to get to the bottom of this. Anyone else experiencing similar?
  7. Looks like R1 (385) quoted in the instructions! Not tried though. Though looking further elsewhere in the instructions it states "The model will run reliably over curved track down to Radius 2 (438mm)."
  8. Waiting on a potential batch two down the road as I am wanting a proper 'domino' headcode variant. Looking really good so far though!
  9. Also done so thank you and a massive finger's crossed. Had these on my wish list as missed the initial announcement and did not realise I needed to complete 'notify me' so really pleased I saw this thank you! Already ordered and paid up front for full rake of Mk2b & Mk2c in blue grey, so these RTC pair would be fantastic too and go straight into my RTC depot!
  10. Yes, I received my latest edition of Model Rail through the post today and saw the Class 48 was available to order. Have placed my order over the phone for D1702 (4820) In BR Two-tone Green with SYP. Regular price is £230.00 though subscribers only pay £207.00 All paid for and awaiting delivery!
  11. I have fitted a Gaugemaster DCC18 & Zimo MX618 to my pair!
  12. Incredible to think we now (well just about) have RTR models of Classes 70 (original electric) and 80 but nothing in the Class range 81-84 (bar a very old Triang 81) Really hoping a correction to these omissions is finally about to commence. Bonus would be the Class 84 in RTC livery! How many mainline classes are the left to go at? Other gems could be anything Cally (Cardean with coaches would surely be a big big winner), Mk1 Bullion Van or Cinema coach, original 08 as D3000, 01 or 09 shunter, Class 120 / 123 / 124 DMU. Just need one of these above to feel like a jackpot moment. Not long to wait now!
  13. Yes, I am really looking forward to the Class 12. Looking at it the obvious questions is will Heljan be able to use this to entered the Class 08 market. However with many of us probably fully stocked with 08's, it occurred to me if they could possibly wring out a Class 10 as well as the forthcoming Class 12. Hoping that might be possible!
  14. Sorry, I've no idea as not seen one in the flesh. Not looking at going down that route presently. Maybe in a couple of years once they have the system bedded in. The fit of the socket means the decoder runs longitudinally if that helps.
  15. Fitted a Zimo Next18 to 878 'BASRAS' I like the way the side panels come off and and screws hidden beneath. [Important to line up shell and chassis properly when refitting]. Shell did take a little wiggling to free, though not too bad. Gentle fingernail persuasion of the cab end ensured no resultant damage. Make sure you fit the decoder the correct away around (brief common sense failure)! Remapped the cab lights from F2 to F1 on my ECoS which was a doddle. Also had to use the 'reverse' feature to get the shunter to go nose first when showing forward direction on the ECoS. All working very well, yay!
