Hi Steve,
Thank you that's helpful, I am planning a layout along the WCML in Cumbria
I am looking at 1986 or 1987.
you don't know if they did something similar to the Transpennine Express Manchester to Glasgow in the 80's
Thankyou

Hi,
Sorry if this is in the wrong place.
Struggling in my google searches, I was wondering if anyone has any time tables or routes maps or knows of any websites where I might find details for local trains in the North West that would travel through Cumbria please.
I am looking at if there were any local services like Preston to Carlisle, Preston to Glasgow.
Thank you

I think it’s unlikely that an entire train of ScotRail liveried coaches was routinely seen south of the border but someone may know otherwise. Having said that, individual ScotRail coaches have been documented in the formation of cross-country trains between Scotland and the south west so would have passed through Cumbria en route. Here are three examples:

As for locos, the most likely contender for appearances in Cumbria would probably be 47461; the only proper (ie. ScotRail branding and blue body side stripe) ScotRail livery loco apart from the 47/7s. It certainly ranged far beyond Scotland, that’s for sure. Here it is at Exeter, for example.
Thank you very much that is helpful,
I do like 50017 at Dawlish the mix of liveries.

Hiya
could anyone help please, I have had no luck with internet searches . I am looking a basing my layout in Cumbria on the WCML from about 1985-1994ish.
I have found some photos of NSE livery class 47 and a class 86 stabled at Carlisle, did any Scotrail Livery trains make it that far south.
Thanks

As reported and advertised in Model Rail 155 Phil Sutton of Rail Exclusive is to commission to improve and update the Class 33.
- New 33/0 with correct roof profile and corrected windscreen positions
- As built version with original roof panels and silencer.
- Photo-etched parts and see-through radiator grilles and internal framing
- factory installed DCC sound option
- Range of liveries: Green, GSYP, BR Blue, Railfreight Construction, Dutch and DRS
- Variations in fuel tank & battery box types, headlights and radio pods
- Range of printed headcodes
- Stainless steel worksplates, arrows, nameplates and headboards where appropriate.
- Delivery is expected by the end of the year.
Sounds good I wonder if Heljan will up grade the lights from the grain of wheat/rice bulbs to LED'S. (all the information say's is working illuminated directional head/marker/tail lights).
I guess afterwards they will start to make runs that are not limited editions that we will be able to pick up from our favourite retailers slightly cheaper.
Shame they wouldnt mix the locos up so you could purchase a construction livery and dutch livery

I think people have more than one ebay account for a variety of reasons, such as keeping one of the accounts 'clean' if they happen to get a 'neutral or negative' at some point.
I've noticed a few undeserved negs and neutrals, because the winning bidder is inexperienced in railway terminology, or they are not familiar with the models they are buying, and they've left unjust feedback, that clearly displays their ignorance. ( fortunately, I myself haven't had this happen to me, I might add )
Another reason someone might have more than one ebay account, is so they can 'hide' things they are selling from people they know.
When I started on ebay, I didn't realise a seller could have more than one account, and a friend sent me French / pigeon English ebay questions about an item I was selling, - it was all a huge wind-up, using another account I didn't know he had. ( I didn't and don't find it funny, just annoying ) In fact this friend definitely has THREE ebay accounts that I know of, perhaps he has more..... seems surprising to me, is it really neccessary.
OR bid on their own item to raise the bid to make more money.
I have had it done to me where I have been out bidded and lost the auction and with in 15-30 minutes had a second chance offer. I have just declinded and let them relist it

Hiya Jamie
Thank you
The layout is 8ft by 2 ft
The upper level station area is a single road platform with a 3 track fiddle yard
The lower level has a fiddle yard that switches back under the station area
I have a class 31,47 and 50 that are sound chipped and 2 37's
I would like to get my class 150 sound chipped at some point.
I have 2 DDC controllers for the layout I use a Bachmann E-Z Command controller for the upper level and the Bachmann E-Z Command Dynamis for the lower level.

Hello
This is my layout I puchased it 2006 from a guy and it had been on the exhibition circuit from 2000 to 2003.
It has a single road platform on the upper level and a depot on the lower section
Since I puchased it it has has been rewired to DCC, station/yard lights added and a few extra bits.
