Hi 7100, we are moving to Murcia in September this year, would love to come to your museum next year. At the moment we live near Basingstoke and I model in 7mm, hope to do the same when we move. How far are you from Murcia? Regards.

Hi Time, your building looks good I have a rebuilt Scot but mine is a David Andrews one. Unfortunately there is no 7mm scale drawings but there is some 4mm scale drawings which might help if you can rescale them. Also Royal Scot is now running (dont know where) if you can get there it would good to see it. If I can help let me know.

Any chance of a video when you use it mate?

Hi Tim on the prototype there is a spasher guard between the rear bogie wheel and slide guard. It is a smaller version of the wheel spasher (3'1/2"cut in half).

Hi Tim, a good build your doing there, I bought JLTRT detail parts they do an excellent cast brake hanger, shoes and a grease seperater. I will post a picture of them when I get home so you can see what you get.

Hi Tim, I am doing other things at the moment (see my post). Yes I will be picking up power through the tender I won't bother with the loco as I will be adding inside valve gear. The plastic hornblocks have brass inside so should be good. I have thought about adding DCC with sound will have to see how much it costs first. Thanks Len. I wondering how you were going with yours. There were plenty of times I nearly tossed the CSB out the window and just went for plain springing, but I'm glad I persisted now, it clearly gives compensation *AND* springing, and trust me, my track really is agricultural so needs all the help it can get. You're picking up power through the tender I presume? Is that for the loco, or accessories? Mine has got to have sound, even though I don't (yet) have DCC. I've not experienced them, but I don't like the sound of plastic hornblocks. After doing some calcs, the loco will have slaters metal as per the tender.

Hi Tim, nice work you have done there, my Scot will have split axles, slaters plastic hornblocks with spring axle-boxes.

Hi Tim, I have all the Black 5 profiles the Royal Scot profiles and a lot of the Jubilee books as well. None of them show the inside of the Tenders and all of the engine's had coal in them, I know David Clarke and John Jennison and David Clarke hasn't got any and just waiting to here from John Jennison, but I think I might have to go to the Watercress Line to find out (I have to go my-self any-way). :-)

Hi John that looks fantastic, a video would be great.

Hi Tim, I have had a look though my books including LMS and I can't see any with inside detail, looks like I might have to take a trip to the Watercress line to have a look at their Black 5, I know that it's a saved loco but it should be the same inside (it wont be for a while yet), I'll let you know how I get on.

Hi Horsetan, they are very hard to get and properly expensive.

Hi Tim, welcome to the forum. I have an David Andrews Rebuilt Royal scot but I am doing it in S7 and also new loco and tender chassis etches. Two good books for the tender is the Wid Swan Black 5 No 5000-5224 and Pictorial Supplement the first one has the chassis and body details and there are some good pictures in the second, don't worry that they are for the Black 5 as both had Stanier tenders. I will be picking up the electric from the tender using split axle pickup using Slaters insulated horn-blocks. I am sure that the chaps on here will help as they are a friendly bunch on here.

Hi Ray, the Chap that did the Fairburn on Western Thunder was Dikitrki or Richard Lamburt. He will answer any questions about it.

I think the trouble is Slaters has no competition.

Thanks for posting that "how to" John that was very informative on how to construct a signal. Does SSS make parts for LMS signals and have they a web-site? I was chatting to one of the S7 guys at the Bristol show on his signal and he uses Minx Microdrives for his signal which was very small (think I might have try this). Keep posting like you have done as I find it very informative.

I believe that Sanspareil will be at the Reading show, I don't know if they will have any of these kits with them but you could ask. Do you know how much the kit costs Richard?
