What should I be looking for as differences?

Was away from the hobby from about 1995-2005.When I started using the railways again,the old loco's had all but disappeared replaced by the Class 66s.

The replacement of diesel vans with electric ones in my work got my thinking how did the railways deal with the 'newcomers'?

Did they (for example) give a depot 40 class66s and haul away 60 of their vintage locos to either scrap them or displace the poorer locos in other depots?

Or did they simply slowly build up the new fleet at depots, hauling away the clapped out loco's at each depot.

Quite funny at my work as those expecting a brand new van instead end up with a half done in diesel van from a depot which has went 100% electric overnight!

Can I get a ScotRail version for when Boris builds the Ireland to Scotland link?

Think I'll treat myself to a blue D6100 with full yellow panels (not full yellow ends)

Strange to think I looked out the card to buy something Hornby last night.

More class 17s coming soon (list on hattons site) including a fantasy 17 livery.

Missed the blue small yellow panels version,whats the chances of that livery being repeated?

Not sure about that,i ordwred mine very early but paid for it very late! About the last week you could get the discount.

Thats Hattons selling them for less than 80 quid now,6 variations at time of posting this.

Feel a bit guilty for suggesting the bsyp variation to them years ago if they are having to flog them off at a discount now!

In relevant news, I'm interested to now how order fulfilment is going; I reckon I placed mine in September 2018 or thereabouts, and I'm wondering how far down the list Chris's lads have reached...

My bysp d602 was ordered after that date and its here,got a green one on the third boat still to come.

New Hattons email has new batch of class 27s in various liveries,seem to be mostly renumbers of previous sold liveries(with addition of scotty dogs etc) i always trip up over exact wording of each livery so i will leave it for fellow posters to list the forthcoming releases

Greenock Princes pier to junction with Wemyss Bay line?

One roadbridge removed but track still in place and tunnels all in one piece.

Departmental "Dutch" livery, as one was painted on the WSR in the 90s, not railfreight.
