  1. Farrington Gurney Halt Somerset

     

    Halts were small stations that were not staffed, and had no signals.

    They meant that the railway companies could provide stops in villages,

    without the expense of building a station. Farrington Gurney only had one track and one platform.

    Passengers had to buy their tickets from a tiny office behind the Miner's Arms public house.:drinks:
