  1. Yes l did post in the wrong forum but couldn’t find how to delete it when I realised. I have posted in the correct forum.
  2. Just received my new 9F and l am trying to fit the front steps from the accessories pack. The instructions aren’t all that clear and l can’t see a way of fitting them. Has anyone fitted these and if so how? Any help would be appreciated.
  3. l have tried fitting the front steps without success. The instructions aren’t exactly clear has anyone fitted the steps and if so how? Any help would be appreciated.
  4. John absolutely perfect. This was the video I had seen originally and couldn't find again. Answered my question and more. Many thanks again. Mike
  5. I have bought a pack of the Dccconcepts EOT lamps and want to be able to use these in a permanently 'on' state. I have read an article (origins unknown) whereby the Hall trigger is connect such that the lamps is always on. Can anyone point me in the direction of this article or provide wiring details for this configuration. Many thanks
  6. Mine arrived this morning and is currently being run in. Nice model, remember it from my school days in Bath, watching from the music room. No wonder I'm no good at music!!! My question regards the accessory pack which contains items which I have no idea where to fit, any suggestions? Similarly is the fitting of the train reporting numbers, they are magnetic but how are they fitted? Any help would be appreciated.
  7. Have fitted a decoder now and found that Function F1 switches the cab lights on and off. not ideal but at least they are not on when running. Please consider this topic closed. Thanks
  8. I have just purchased the above loco and am currently running in. I have noticed that on DC that both cab lights are permanently on. Does this condition exist once a decoder is fitted? Is there a way of independently controlling the cab lights? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
  9. Hi Thank you all for your responses. Changed the LiasDcc chip for a Gaugemaster and there was a marked difference but the slow speed was still pretty poor. I will now try the Bachmann decoder as at least one of you managed to get it running at low speed!! Thanks again.
  10. I just fitted a decoder to my Bachmann 94xx and I have to say the running awful. At step 1 on the controller (Gaugemaster Prodigy Advance) the loco shoots off as speed. I tried adjusting the basic CVs but cannot get any change. After watching a Youtube clip on the 94xx it would appear that this loco is fitted with a coreless motor. I am led to believe that the coreless motor is difficult to program to get reasonable running. I have fitted a LaisDCC decoder which I have had good results previously. I don't know if anyone else has encountered similar problems and if so have they managed to overcome the problem.
  11. Having just purchased the EFE Rail Class 35 Hymek I have found the lights to be a little feeble to say the least. I intend to fit a decoder soon but was wondering if anyone has found a way of improving the lights. There appears to be two rear lights that are on together, however one is red and the other yellow. So is there a way of controlling these separately so the yellow light is on in the forward direction? Apart from that the model itself is really good. Thanks for any advice.
  12. No problem thanks. Resolved the issue by reading the instructions!!!!! Please consider this post closed.
  13. Having waited for so long for the 117 I was really happy with the model. The detail is superb. The only question I have is regarding the lights. I don’t know what I am doing wrong but having fitted the Bachmann Plux22 decoder l can’t get the head codes to illuminate. Destination blinds are ok as is cab and interior lights. Has anyone else had this problem?
  14. Thanks to everyone who has answered my question and has which has been resolved. The answer from DCCConcepts was as suggested CV36 = 0 and CV38 = 1. Thanks again and I think this issue is now closed
  15. Hi Martin I must now admit to be totally confused, I thought I under but obviously not. I would appreciate it if you could dig out the CVs you changed and the value of those CVs. I don't mind where F2 goes to in terms of function buttons as long F2 is not used for the rear lights. Thanks for your help
