1. The Bure Valley Railway is a 15" gauge miniature railway, built on trackbed of the old standard gauge branch line from Wroxham to Aylsham. Here's a few photos from last summer, there's plenty more in my Bure Valley Railway Set on Flickr.
2. My first thought too. Interesting pictures, certainly an improvement!
3. At the end of last summer we went to Hayling Seaside Railway for one of their steam weekends. Emmet was the visiting locomotive. The railway is just over a mile long according to Wikipedia and the scenery isn't that varied, but I've always had a soft spot for railways on beaches, and despite some very heavy rain we had a great afternoon out. There's more of my photos on Flickr, and a slightly longer post on my blog.
4. I remembered this blog today, and discovered it's been rather neglected, so I thought I'd post some photos I took of the WHHR back in July 2008 when it was still the WHR(P). I'll try to post some photos of some other railways in the next few weeks too. Gelert's Farm Works Gelert One of the 3 huge Lyd2 diesels A slate wagon and a dandy wagon from the Ffestinog Railway. Originally the states trains would travel down to Porthmadog under gravity and be pulled back up by horses. Pen-y-Mount station, which is a recreation of a typical Welsh Highland Station. There's a few more photos on Flickr
5. Nice photos! I hear that these trains only have a few weeks left.
6. Wow! That does sound superb, I saw the sample on their website and though it looked very nice, and wasn't surprised when they sold out, as they weren't asking that much more. My only concern was that if they were identical then it might look a bit odd. If they are all slightly different then that is superb for those of you that have them ordered! I really pleased with my (non-weathered) silver bullets. The chrome is really impressive!
7. Very nice, I didn't realise that these were out yet. The ladder does look much better than I remember the factory fitted on looking. I've got a couple pre-ordered, good to see how nice they look with a bit of weathering.
8. Excellent, more 73s! I'm planning on doing E6043/73136 Perseverance in the new year. I've not worked out what I'm going to do about powering it yet.
9. Very nice - I'm planning on having a go at a 73 under frame too.
10. I'm a fan of the blogs, combined with the blog index it makes it much easier to find posts. It's by far the best solution for someone like you as I can find all you stuff far more easily than if you had a different thread for each layout - and one thread for the number of layouts you've got would be a bit messy!
11. Congratulations on the article. I'll be reading it carefully!
12. Very nice - I spotted your photos on the main page. I might have to try using balsa as it looks like a good material for these sorts of buildings.
13. Colin Craig makes a FFA/FGA kit - I found it when reminding myself what the FFA/FGAs where after seeing your status so I know nothing about it other than what's on his website: http://colincraig4mm.co.uk

Talyllyn Photos

There's plenty of pictures of the Talyllyn locos around, so I thought I'd post some shots of the buildings and track which I took last summer in the narrow gauge section. I've included one photo as taster. http://www.rmweb.co.uk/community/index.php/topic/460-talyllyn-railway-photos/
