hi, just a mention, owners of Peco Jubilee's can re-motor their loco as Union Mills can supply a complete tender drive, though you'll need to tell them its for the Peco loco, at around £28

Cut & shunt modelling whatever next ? most certainly would'nt by a car from them ,,, unles theyre half price ! Have you tried a curved back wall to give a sense of depth or a mirror ( small mirrow tile) ? Any way its looks great . mr B .. modeling Nethertown

didnt Hattons use the R1 chassis in their pannier tank late 1950's, the one I bought at the time has a Tri-ang jinty chassis, the cheaper option of the two. mr B .. modelling Nethertown

Nice finish, nice and shiney, but remember those plastic kits from not many years ago ? gold and chrome plated parts, then after a year or two the plating peeled away from the plastic and it was'nt by getting glue on the parts, as I once opened a new kit and found a box of chrome ! I wonder how long it will be before your all weathering them ? mr B

May-bee not as 'posh' as your finished models, but any one thats local to Redcar should reconize it, any way its a before shot, you'll have to wait some time for the after photo. Redcar got sidetracked because of a silly venture into Nethertown mr B .. modeling his local station

I've had my Unimat 3 since new 20 odd years or so, common sence how its used, I wear hat and full face mask as it can chuck swarf and chippings around. thing to remember with the Unimat 3 is the motor, 10 min's on and 20 min's off to allow for cooling, not sure about the newer motors ? mr B .. modelling Nethertown
