  1. Are the soon to be released mk2f Intercity coaches going to look something like this? Does anyone know? For example 374-737 http://www.grafar.co.uk/prod1.php?prod_selected=farish&prod=3 Thanks
  2. Thanks Robert. What is the UK body thread?
  3. Could Dapol Dave confirm what liveries the Doncaster 56's will be available in. Hattons only list EWS, but I'm thinking this can't be right? Thanks
  4. And made to the current high standards - or higher - that both manufacturers are now achieving in N gauge
  5. I think all the information Tom has provided exactly highlights the issue for Dapol and other manufacturers. Does the market support two similar though not identical blue and grey buffets in N gauge? If the hard economics say No then would we rather have one which will be correct for some but not all scenarios, or none at all? I say none at all as this thread now reminds me of some comments made in the infamous Dapol speculation frothing thread about the detail differences between the suburban 455s on the South Western lines. I know there are many people on here who are far more knowledgeable than me, and I have learnt a lot from reading posts on here over the past couple of years, but I ultimately belong to the "something is better than nothing" train of thought. I would prefer to see models made rather than manufacturers take fright at the detail differences that some modellers are aware of even within types. I too would be interested to see Dapol Dave's thoughts on the subject. And hope one day for a 321 - which looks a bit like a 455 but with one of those pantograph thingys on the roof and a different front end - surely could be done ?. ;-)
  6. I'm hoping to see another first class in InterCity swallow soon as well as the buffets in InterCity swallow and Grand Central liveries. My patience will soon be rewarded?
  7. How does this work, and will it be made available generally? What level of skill would be required to replace the original control mechanism with the merg one? Cheers David
  8. What would the correct width be in N gauge?
  9. Certainly does, Stewart. Thanks for that. ATB David
  10. Hi Chris That's a very helpful post, as I am also running ECoS and RR&Co, and was wondering how the Dapol signals would work. I am waiting for the LMS upper quadrant versions (not long now...). I am not familiar with relays, so was wondering if you could describe what you mean by DPDT-no or SPDT-no relays? Also how do you identify the "normally open" pole on the relay? If you could give me a heads up on the above, as well as a link to where you can buy them, I'd be grateful. Thanks David
