Sorry to hear about Leanne Peter. I didn't know she had breast cancer. Hope she gets well soon.
Layout's looking good mate. That new bit looks great.

Thanks for hosting the meeting Jeff even though you were having health problems, all went very well. Good to catch up. All coming along nicely on the layout.

I use these ones 86112 and find them fairly reliable. I hadn't seen the other ones but looking at them am not sure if they would actually drive the motor. Maybe they are a supplementary indicator of the how the point is switched?

Yes, I must get the upper level going! Even then, I would like a bigger layout, but ...
Wouldn't we all mate. Nice to see what's been going on.

Thanks Doug, it's more about keeping the kids off the layout. I'll head to Bunnings for some.

Thanks for that Jeff. I'd been looking out for somewhere that stocks that for a while. It would be handy for the front of a layout to keep little fingers off. I'll have to try and get some time off and pop round soon to see it in the flesh.

Coming along nicely Jeff.

Thanks for posting the how to stuff about the baseboard construction. I picked up some useful tips there. I also need to get some clamps like your as the ones I'm using are rubbish by comparison.

Hi Neil,
Glad you could make it down though I didn't get to talk that much with 29 other people here.
Let me know how you go with your wagons. I might have some spare Grampus wagon transfers somewhere if you need a few.
Cheers Peter.
Hi Peter,
no probs I know how it is. I've got started on those wagons already. Also also ordered some transfers from Parkside last night though.

Yep, I'll be going to Jeff's so see you there. You're welcome to stop by before and have a look at my layout on the way if you like.

Very nice Peter Point rodding looking very good there.

I don't remember mission brown being that popular in Scotland in the 70's but I'm glad I wasn't over here then if it was popular over here. Not a colour you see much of these days.
All coming along nicely Jeff.

Gardens over here are a bit bigger I suppose. More room for wildlife. Certainly didn't get parrots in my back garden at home. And they don't have wildlife in their own UK gardens? They've never looked!

It's not a view I normally get! I had to suspend the phone camera over the tracks and try to see what i was actually getting while still holding it steady.
If you compare this shot with the nearly similar one taken earlier, you can see that the earlier shot served another purpose, in showing me what I couldn't see directly, that a little bit of the brick sheet wasn't stuck down properly under the bridge.
That's a bit of a shame as it's a good view. Kind of reminds me of coming into some of the London stations.

Yes that's right Rick, not too far at all. I could easily walk to Jeff and Doug's places in ten minutes or so.And not very far at all from myself, P.C.M. and a couple of others.
Does that make us a cluster?
Not sure what the collective term for a group of railway modellers is but cluster sounds good.

That sounds good. Hope it all gets better from now on.
Thanks for that mate, I'll get on to that and can maybe get started on platform.
