  4. A bit more progress on Mulberry Junction
  5. I have made a start on the overhead equipment, the first gantry for the station is done. I have also done a video
  6. I am enjoying looking at the layout, I am quite inspired by it
  7. I have just finished weathering the track on Mulberry Junction, and added rust to the rail sides. Also its the first video that I am talking on https://youtu.be/Rc5AldIm91U
  8. I have uploaded a "cab ride" of Mulberry Junction whilst the layout is clear of scenery and structures to hopefully compare in the future
  9. Well the ballast went into the vacuum cleaner ( to be re used ), I have weathered the track and sprayed the bases of the fuel unloading area, and the fueling point too I have also done a video on youtube
  10. I have decided to re do the ballasting, before it goes down again I am going to take a couple of inches away on the curve behind the depot, ( the track is close to a part of a frame for my roof ) to get continuity with the scenery a little better with the look of the layout overall hopefully.
  11. A little more progress with ballasting. Tomorrow hopefully will be the far curve behind the depot
  12. I have just made a start on the station area`s ballasting
  13. Its nearly time to start ballasting the layout, I have just had a little play before the stones go down Mulberry Junction 13 February 2022 includes new APT
  14. The Hornby 7 car APT came yesterday, I unboxed it today and gave it a test run, I need to put decoders in the driving trailers, at the moment it just has one in the power car. I`m not so keen on the pantograph. The set on youtube, and photos bellow
  15. Just added the extra two roads for Mulberry Junction bringing the fiddle yard from six lines to eight, four on the up, and four on the down. I also used a shortened MGR rake to check if there would be derailments, If anything were to come off the rails it would be them old HAA`s
  16. A video again with a pair of 20s, a 90, two 150`s and two 47s The fiddle yard is getting bigger next weekend, currently its 6 roads, It will be 8 roads when I`m done, hopefully with point motors added to the far end ( it could even be done through the week depending on the daughters homework for the GCSE`s ). Oh yes, the video...
  17. I am thinking of scenery near the signal box, the idea is to have a embankment with trees on it so will be quite simple, the alternative is to have a set of low relief factory's, I am liking the greenery the most.
  18. I have had a small operating session with some of my sprinters and a practice with a class 37 going onto the depot The results are on youtube ( link bellow ). https://youtu.be/RHPV7F97zYE
  19. The tanks are a Piko kit, Its not two halves, its HO ( not OO) which is why they look smallish on the photos, some more photos of the kit are on my web site http://www.mulberryjunction.co.uk/page10.html There is a short version of the kit too. The catalog number is "Piko PK61121" for the big version and " Piko PK61104 " for the short version The prices are anywhere between £26 and £55
  20. I have done a bit of a re jig on the depot area
  21. Progress is slow with the layout, I did a video recently though, At the moment I am spending time on days out mainly with my family and doing lots of D.I.Y with my MRS which is great, moving house the other year has brought us all closer as a family, we are close anyway but even more so now I will be doing little bits with the layout over the winter, there is lots to do just in little bits and bats at the moment Anyway the video
  22. I have had a change for the depot area, but after a friend had mentioned I could do with a avoiding line around the washer so this isnt the final version just yet but its what it looks like so far, the depot building is now smaller.
  23. Platforms are a little longer now and nearer to completion, the brick works been painted, the cement is still to be painted in-between the bricks, so still a bit to go. The Weighbridge for the colliery is nearly there too, I will be weathering over next week or so.
