(1) use the old Hornby kit seen here with a coat of paint, replacing the floor and adding some dirt.
Funny you should say that, its exactly what I've been doing over the weekend! I have also turned it into a single road shed with a bit of measuring and careful cutting. Once the filler is dry and I get the time it will be repainted internally and clad with Wills sheets and detailed to give me something a bit different.
Thanks. Would like to see a photo if you get a chance.

How about the Pikestuff kits or the Scalescene Diesel Depot? Like what you're doing. Keep up the good work.
Alex
The scalescenes diesel depot is the one I have half done ... but I'm not really happy with my skill on it (and I'm fed up with cutting out so much cardboard - lesson 1 is use stiff card not heavy card). Pikestuff is another possible - might try one of those thanks.

You could allways scratchbuild?? This is wat i am currently doing for Dearnford. Like you i want something along the lines of the Peterborough Shed!
Good luck!
Danny
Thanks. I don't think my skills are quite up to scratchbuild yet but will watch your progress.

Yes it is worthwhile. Your posts may eventually make me feel guilty enough to finish my own Southern Pride model (a 3H in my case). I can sympathise with your point though - I've only had a couple of posts on my layout blog ... alright it may not be that exciting but still. I think people seem to be passing by the blogs in a way they didn't do with the old style threads.

Still. What you've done looks very good. I like the technique you described. Once you had painted with the aerosol, what did you use to either protect the track or remove paint on the rails?
Cheers, Jerry
Thanks. I just cleaned the rail tops with a cloth (with a tiny bit of white spirit where it needed) then a quick rub with a track rubber later.

Thanks. The walls are a bit tedious if you need lots of them but they look reasonably good and they're quite cheap (doesn't matter if you mess or two up as well ... just print more copies)
