  1. Yep only 5827 as TOPS. I have a poor res shot of it at Bristol parkway 2/3/74 sent to me by marcc Koch, unmistakeably 31294 but too far away to read the number accurately, obviously a TOPSer though.
  2. My new book is out now 'Liveries Of The WR Hydraulics' . 156 colour pics with detailed captions about the changing liveries of the WR hydraulic fleet 1958-77, most pics never before published and loads of gen that you (hopefully) don't know. https://shop.keypublishing.com/product/View/productCode/KB0102/Liveries of the WR Diesel Hydraulics
  3. Do any of you esteemed gentleman know if all the 22s received the headcodes before rail blue (except D6301 of course). Reason i ask is D6318 and D6332 had discs in 1966 and both went blue in 1967 so may or may not have.
  4. D1001 had the red circle moved to the bodyside when it had the data panel applied, i don't know how common that was. UPDATE I think it's actually where the shedplate was removed. I shall look further.
  5. PWM650-4, ADB968000-3, 8598 all survived the westerns but do they count as revenue earners?
  6. Hopefully of interest to most on here. My book 'BR; From Green To Blue' is out shortly, it's a photo book, 160 colour shots with captions all about the changeover from green to blue liveries (and from black and maroon too) and features shots from 1964-87, predominantly from 1967-73. You can order it from https://shop.keypublishing.com/product/View/productCode/B700/BR: From Green to Blue Book
  7. It does happen. I had one of my shots used on a postcard and sold in a shop. It appeared on the net and I asked where he'd had it from and was directed to a shop locally. They were selling for charity so I couldn't really complain but i would have preferred the civility of being asked. I could have given them a hi res one so my work didn't look as amateurish for a start.
  8. Yes the original cover was the 40s but the publisher opted to use the D600s instead. Both shots are inside the book
  9. For those interested in this sort of thing I have a book on the topic out this month. BR from Green to Blue. 96 pages of illustrations with detailed captions and lists of locos in particular livery styles and combinations that should answer a lot of questions hopefully. https://shop.keypublishing.com/product/View/productCode/B700/BR: From Green to Blue Book?fbclid=IwAR32fJ4fTw-g6dfURd7b-oQBHC70zA6zSohkU7J8kxzghCXEYCC8vlXEwmc
  10. D8029 MAY have ran into 1969 as plain green. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/373092548996?fbclid=IwAR3QPsbDYgcaRWHTRLvAugAGff6nBD4xuEEcF_6AB020-a9litHkMPmGaxU
