  1. ..... The layout has obviously been compressed to a certain extent with most of the sidings not being there but we explain that away as a process of rationalization, after all the layout is set in 1977 and the real Towcester closed in 1966. However we like to think that we have made a fairly accurate job of re-creating this long gone railway centre....

Having studied the line and walked most of it, not to mention stood on the platforms in the early 1990's before they were demolished, I would certainly agree that you have more than captured the feel and look.

I look forward to seeing it in the flesh - hopefully at MK later in the year.

  2. How did it go today?

Was hoping to get over to MK to see "Towcester" but other matters intervened.

Was going to ask how much you compressed the layout by and how you decided what should "go".
One day I hope to see it in the flesh.

  3. Fantastic layout.

Hope to get to see it one day.

I am one of the chaps on the SMJR site and was pointed to this from there. Nice to see a model of bridge 149 (Olney branch one) after taking a number of photos of it in the hope someone could model it one day.

I once tried Towcester to full scale in N and i was huge! I did not get far sadly especially asI moved house twice and the boards were sadly nottransported well and the trackwork damaged so it was all scrapped in the end sadly.
