RMweb Premium John M Upton Posted March 5, 2010 RMweb Premium Share Posted March 5, 2010 Well it is a bit approximate but I repainted a Hornby 09 into the 1967 version of rail blue (D4100) and when it was repainted with its blue buffer beams and brown underbits, it didn't have the pipes (picture in an Ian Allan combined volume IIRC, annoyingly not hand at the moment) however they then appeared from what I can tell on all the 09's bar two in about 1969 to 1971.
