Unless they've lifted it in the last couple of years.... Most of the 68s were delivered via Workington Docks.

Cheers,

Mick

And if they've lifted it the intermodal which runs there must have a bumpy ride at the end of the journey !

Perhaps the bi-mode of the 88s isn't quite what we thought then, it's not electro-diesel but road-rail :) Could be what they've been bought for!

Apparently one is going to be on a railtour going through Coventry soon, not sure when though. Will likely try to get down to get a few photos when it does for update (or I'll send Natalie).

20th May Didcot-Carlisle is the first tour, but the 88s go on at Crewe.

88001 Revolution

88002 Prometheus

88003 Genesis

88004 Pandora

88005 Minerva

88006 Juno

88007

88008 Ariadne

88009

88010 Aurora

Some nice reminders of the DC overhead locos in the list.

Electra and Diana will complete the EM2 list.

I wonder how many prog/contemporary rock fans will go for a model of 88003?

Cheers,

Mick

Does anyone know why so far delivered are 88001/2/3/4/5 and 88008?

What's happened to 88006/7?

Run out of 6 & 7 on the transfer sheet, waiting for the next exhibition to pick some up and finish the project?   :jester:

They've realised that the decals are offset and need re-doing........

Those don't appear to have that red line that 002 has but as its so small may not show up

One other difference in the livery is where the logo on the 68s is made up of an OS map of Cumbria the 88 has one thats a map of the Crewe area
