The response I got was they would change my order for a non sound one. I had them on order with sound from Dapol but cancelled them as i seen rails had them to pre order at 15% off,i notice the sound fitted option has disappeared now. I dont want a non sound one if thats all they offer.

After reading a few posts on here about Dapol not supplying retailers sound fitted versions, it was a surprise to see a email from RoS advertising sound fitted models they wouldn’t be getting.
RMweb Premium nightstar.train Posted June 27, 2022 RMweb Premium Share Posted June 27, 2022 Is there any update on delivery dates for the new batch? I have a TPE one on order to push and/or pull my Accurascale Mk5s. Hope it arrives before the coaches, or not too long after!

Likely to beat the mk5s.

Only 033 and 034 have the gear to operate them on a working train though. The rest can obviously pull them but just as ECS moves. 15 minutes ago, newbryford said: These are my favourite "upset the purists at an exhibition" examples I love that one with the 70, that will definitely be getting done.

WisTramwayMan
Looking at my new model of 68031, Felix, has Dapol missed something on the latest batch ? They appear to have omitted the angled handrails from underneath the front screen. Intentional (cost cutting or otherwise ?) or a fundamental error ? They were certainly on 4D-022-014 Brutus, one of the previous TPE releases, and looking at actual pictures of the real 68031 they're on that. And I haven't been able to find any photos of it without them. Looks like an error by Dapol.

I was thinking they had used the shell from the early Chiltern models instead of the correct one. It doesn’t look like there are holes for the handrails, so not likely a fitting error at the factory. I’ve left a message with Dapol, let’s see what I get back.

RMweb Premium PeterStiles Posted July 13, 2022 RMweb Premium Share Posted July 13, 2022 (edited) Can I just say, that this Class 68 that's just arrived on my layout is the absolute smoothest running locomotive I've got. I may just run it back in forth in front of me for an hour at lunchtime just to relax me. Its like it doesn't have a motor in but is being propelled by a band of smiling pixies...
