Sails
All, I have a couple of Oxford Rail OR76WW003 Warwell A British Steel Corporation DM748305 Diamond Bogie, just wondering what sort of load I could put on them? I have been looking for photos to see them loaded but haven't seen anything to give me ideas. Can anyone advise what they would have normally carried? photos would be great. Thanks in advance, Mark
Mark Saunders
I have always understood this is the conversation for long welded rail hence the DM prefix and do not understand why it is sold as British Steel? The Oxford version has the bolsters but are missing on the Hatton’s version. Mark Saunders
hmrspaul
We have discussed these LMS diag 11D conversions before https://PaulBartlett.zenfolio.com/warwellbogiebolster/e36a0f517 They were introduced as Borails, but later became more generalised as steel carriers. Fat Controller
For those fancying one of these wagons, but not modelling an industrial area, there's a photo on Paul Bartlett's site showing one at Frome, Somerset, with a load of reinforcing bar.
