A bit of progress to both the cattle wagon and ballast hoppers. I'm awaiting the customer to say whether he wants the cattle van unfitted etc. Found with the cattle van getting the first end in exact right position took care. Added the solebars and trussing to floor first then added the ends

Back to making things at last, the ballast hoppers haven't got any further yet but have started a couple of more wagon masters. This time a Palbrick A and B. Not to much more to do to them, mainly just the floor down. I used a small drill to drill out the holes where the forklift goes, then used a small chisel and file to clean the holes up.

Discovered on the Palbrick A that had made it too narrow by about 3 mm, serves me right for not looking at the dimensions on the drawings! So took it apart and widened the floor and made a new end and put it back together. Since that I've added both solebars as well and couple of other details.

Bit of progress, got both the Palbricks in primer, been working on a commission for some Freighman LMS vans, only was supplied with the sides ends and floor. Made the roofs by cutting down some spare GW cattle van roofs and for the solebars on one used part used Parkside solebars and for the others made them from Evergreen strip. Had some part built coal hoppers lying about for several years so finally finished adding details

Next stage of the ballast hoppers was to attach the 6BA nuts for the bogies. Made some plastic squares and drilled all the way through for the bolt, then drilled a bigger hole nearly all the way through for the nut to be screwed into.

As part of a commission been asked to build some Parkside Gunpowder vans. Put the body together, end first to the floor, then the sides and the other end. Fitted the axleguard and the axle boxes to the back. Discovered when fitted together that the backs of the solebars needed the pips cleaning off.

Onto another commission, this time a SR 2-EPB. Cutting out the hinges and bending them up took a while for both coaches. Soldering into recess on the  back didn't take long, just repetitive.

For the solebars drilled out the holes for the footboards and then punched lots of rivets out.

Done a bit more to the Gunpowder wagons and the 2-EPB (as was away doing research for a few days). Haven't got too much more to the Gunpowder, encountered no problems. With the 2-EPB now ready to add the ends and then the interior

Added the partitions to the 2-EPB along with the jumpers and steps. Also added the roof strips and vac pipes to the Gunpowder vans, just the lamp irons and tie bars for me to fit before painting, looks like the other photos another day
