And Flangeway added to the (tbh fairly extensive) list of companies that do the right thing by their customers, sorting the issues. I’ll definitely be buying from them again. Just hope that they didn’t lose out financially on the error as it sounded like it wasn’t their doing.

The first wash of Mig rust brushed on and then rubbed off again using a cotton bud and some ipa. I've left the decks untouched as one of the 3d printer lads has hinted at producing sleeper loads😊

Sleepers were carried on Salmons with the bolsters removed and lengthways timber to support the sleepers. See my pic at Tonbridge West Yard of  YMA DB996939 in 16-9-92.

Cheers.

Thanks Paul.

That's excellent info. I didn’t know about the wooden base for carrying track panels. I don’t know if these will be any use. Screenshot_20220705-211121_Chrome.jpg.ab9bd8d962a30037172b734d5de0b975.jpg

Richard, I think he means the version with the modern roller bearing bogies

I too am looking for the era 8/9 versions or have they all sold out and me and the OP missed them?

We are awaiting for the comments to be actioned on the ASF bogie in China. We had hoped for a winter release, but it's looking more like spring/summer now.

Hi Richard,
How are things progressing with the ASF bogied variants? I know there’s been a bit of strain on Chinese manufacturing with Covid and power shortages. With Chinese New Year behind us, do we have any updates on how they are progressing?

Cheers, Jordan

Great photo Paul, thanks. Do you know if the timber bearers for the sleeper load are sleepers too?

Great news introducing the modern ASF bogie variant. Just wondering whether this type will be an option at all?

There's a chap on ebay selling 3d printed stanchions to convert salmons to ospreys. I've used them on my cambrian kits.

Is that the "inspired by" chap?
