Gravy Train
Hi Mick, love the yard and the lavvy on the end, showing the character of this building. Peter
micknich2003
Peter, many thanks, but still a lot more to do.
micknich2003
A little more progress and a few details added to the coal house and closet. By the 60's the residents had the luxury of a proper flushing toilet, but as a relic of the past the "Trap" for the Night Soil man remains in the rear wall.
Gravy Train
Great to see Mick and all your own work by hand, no computers to help do the modelling for you, nice to see the skills still being used. Peter
micknich2003
The back yard and walls etc are now nearly completed and paving stones added. 8 1 1

micknich2003
Six or more months on I'm now back to Gilbert Lane, my latest effort being an office building, this is based on one once to be found at Hull Springhead. A drawing and photo' attached, hopefully I can get the part built model outside for a few pictures Tuesday.

micknich2003
A couple of quick "Grab Shots" of work so far, this elevation is no complete but needs some work on the colouring, for example the green needs to be let down, too bright and pristine. Gravytrain, you will notice I have gone up market, and I now use a can of "Posh Beer" as a model stand, previously it was "Stone's Bitter" or a bean can.
Gravy Train
Wow, Mick it’s coming on is that and I do like the brickwork colouring effect and the anew upgraded stand is superb, sets the model off just nicely. cheers Pete

micknich2003
I have finally got back to Gilbert Lane, the latest project being a typical postwar Prefab. Usual Plasticard construction, drawings sourced off Tinternet. Quick Grab Shot attached.
