I have a question on whether or not you can use the GM500 to control points and polarity on a DCC system.

I know that GM do the GM500D for DCC & Digital but i can not see much of a difference in the tw0 products.  I know that the 500 version is specifically designed for use with a CDU but i am not using CDU's.  I have asked GM the difference question but they were not very helpful and very none committal.

What I am looking to do is control the polarity of a pair of points operating in tandem through a complex track switching arrangement (see picture) that uses 1 Peco Code 55 set of Scissor crossings and four sets of unifrog points in tandem. NOTE the scissor crossing has also be adapted to make it more of a Unifrog compliant.

I am happy with the track design just trying to reduce the wiring etc and improve the polarity switching.

I have attached a picture of the junction.

Looking forward to some response on this please specifically about the GM500 and its compatibility with DCC.

Thanks

The point motors will be controlled via a Lenz 150 point decoder. So I assume the 500D's are a must then?

What I cant see is the difference between the 500 and the 500D as all the components are the same. or am i missing something??
