TonyHM
I have a 16scale, 32mm gauge railway outdoors in my garden. I have remote points I would like to operate by wire-in-tube. The distance is 3meters and curved. What is the minimum, or best gauge for the wire and tube? What are the best types of wire and tube?
meil
I would do it with rods and cranks.

RMweb Gold ikcdab Posted March 26, 2021 RMweb Gold Share Posted March 26, 2021 I did just this. I used 1.5mm brass rod and I cut my own cranks from brass sheet. I did have some ready made ones, they might have been gem or hamblings. Don't suppose they are available now but you might try a gauge 1 supplier. Whatever you use, it must be rust proof...

They do a plastic/PTFE wire in tube arrangement, like the Mercontrol system but more robust and (largely) clip together and including cranks.
