Nicely done, I’ve been wondering how to go about P4’ing mine for a little while and now I know, thanks for the photos too

Replacement wheels might be an issue as its split axles, unless you can get these turned down.

I was wondering about butchering some Gibson wheels and sleeving some suitable diameter rod for the stub axles, I’ll have a more thorough plan when I get chance to dismantle it.

Class E1 1749 shuffling wagons around the yard tonight.

The E1 looks like a kit Paul? Comparing to the new Bachmann lined LNER example, I think the lining is correct? Would a safety valve cover, larger makers plate, J72 removed from bufferbeams and NER on the tank cover a conversion back to the livery you have here?

That one is a much butchered Mainline body on a Comet chassis to represent the earlier short bunker version.

This one is the Bachmann LNER Lined one regauged, new buffers and a bit of lining on the side of the bunker, it's the later large bunker one. Plus narrow planet plates.

Are you going to plant rose bushes as well?

Rhubarb surely.

”Do you put custard on your rhubarb?”  “No, we use manure!”

Paul.

Very nicely done Paul, running really well.

Perhaps you would like to bring it down to Kirkby Malham for a running session.

You would have to bribe the directors, to allow you to put your engine on their lines though.

The yard appears to have gained a new resident, a grey tabby cat. Spotted a very similar grey tabby In the garden yesterday afternoon, never seen it before, don't think it belongs to anyone round here, anyway, I found a little whitemetal cat and painted it up and it's made it's self comfortable on top of an empty beer barrel...

That takes up pretty much the whole layout!

Most of it, yes!

Why is it brown?

It's Indian red, as were all NER vehicles fitted with automatic brakes, apart from refrigerated vans which were white. Brake vans were also Indian red despite not being fitted. Only thing is, it appears to have lost it's pipes when I repainted it a couple of years ago and I never noticed they had gone!

That's not a design, (or a model) that I've seen before. What is it?

It's a diagram V1/3, they all started out looking like this-

Some received side cotes (duckets) like this-

And some hade their top cotes removed like the one above, aome had top cotes removed but without side ones adding, just relying on the end windows to view along the train.
