montyburns56
The fact that this is at Fraserburgh station after it became freight only is interesting enough, but also look at what they are loading the fish into...

I'd tag Paul Bartlett, but I don't know how to do it The containers (there are at least two of them) appear to have ISO mountings, although they are unusual in having side doors. I think they are 20' containers though the angle of the photo may be misleading. From the spacing of the containers (i.e. not next to each other, but with a moderate-sized gap between them) I am assuming they are each on a 4-wheel wagon, but that may be wrong. The wagons they're on must have a lowish floor. Might possibly be Conflat ISO? I'm assuming the train is vacuum-braked by the SR van, but I may be wrong. If air-braked wagons are possible then maybe they are the short PFAs? https://paulbartlett.zenfolio.com/cawoodcontainer To tag Paul, you start typing @hmrspaul, and it should give you a list of usernames to click on. The FBB were vacpiped but I agree quite possibly on a Conflat ISO or even a pair on Rectank conflat. I've no idea what the containers are but to me they appear to be 10ft square and insulated. There were/are many different containers - Purely as an aside look at this complete with the bonded designation CLV and doors on one side only https://PaulBartlett.zenfolio.com/brfreightlinercontainer/e1cc1be58 Paul 1 2

RMweb Premium keefer Posted August 26, 2021 RMweb Premium Share Posted August 26, 2021 (edited) Never realised the cl.111 DMUs got that far south, I'd always thought they were pretty much Yorks/Lancs units. Four 3-car units were allocated to Stratford from 12/1968 until late-1970. See under 'Stratford' at: https://railcar.co.uk/type/class-111/operations (includes same photo posted above). Also, notice the DMU has a blue centre car Edited August 26, 2021 by keefer 2 1
