atom3624
Thanks Roy. I've a Cavalex on order, and have just recently purchased a near-perfect 'used' Hornby large logo one, so wanted to know which end to fit the 'extras' to. Al.

Steadfast
I'll just park this here from Saturday night... Flickr link, so click for more details. Those first shots look brilliant, really looks to capture the 56 and variation between cast and fabricated cabs. Now the big question, how long before it gets shrunk to the proper scale so Cav can have some for his trainset? Of course, the rest of us may benefit too. Different base plastic used, they will all be primered before painting/printing. In theory you can make models from any colour plastic, just depends on what their final colour will be

wombatofludham
They do look fantastic, the subtle differences between the Romanian and UK builds are noticeable even in their nude EP state. Should be worth the wait. 1

wombatofludham
I hope not. I must admit I always preferred the look of the original Romanian build, the later BR built examples, although probably more reliable, didn't look as stylish to me.
owentherail
The Romanian 56s seem to of had a more mustard yellow to them ...... tho KY 56s where so dirty you couldn't see it

Grimleygrid
Our class 56 design gives us the ability to offer different cab styles at each end of the model, something not previously available to potential customers. Here is a photo of the body shells for our forthcoming 56049 which has different style cabs at each end. 17
