Guest Jack Benson
Hi, Where and what type of standard decoders are used in the new heritage range of Hornby Dublo locos? I have no experience of the standard Hornby air smoothed MN therefore no idea what is used if a standard chassis has been recycled by Hornby. RMweb Gold Tim123 Posted September 19, 2021 RMweb Gold Share Posted September 19, 2021 Hi, like the earlier City of Leicester the loco mechanism and entire tender is from the standard plastic bodied range. The main difference is the metal loco body and the packaging. I'm sure the latest MN chassis has flywheel drive, it's a very smooth runner. Hornby use an 8 pin decoder socket in the tender, and there's provision for sound should you wish to fit it.
