Hello

My copy arrived today. Another fine production  from Simon. Keep them coming.

                                                                            Cheers

I've just ordered this one, along with a previous one that was also of interest. They look like excellent publications with valuable detail.

I actually came across this thread whilst trying to look up whether the Farish MK1 BG in Parcels livery (product no. 370-044) depicting NEA 92233 with the missing the black painted panels ('fake windows') on the doors without actual windows was accurate. If indeed incorrect, hopefully it will be corrected on the next Farish release (product no. 370-044A). I have not seen many, if any, photos or videos of them in this livery without this feature.

The painted on false windows weren't uncommon:

Courier vans (BSK conversions) received the same painted windows:

Royal Mail livery appears to be the only one they were applied to.

Indeed. They were pretty standard on that livery. My question was more around whether any/many did not have them painted on, as per the Farish model.

Ordered immeadiately but only found out about it by accident (fat fingers ....wrong button !) even though I've ticked Key Publishing's future contact regarding publications before when ordering direct before ?

Looking forward to it's arrival, loved to watch the parcels traffic around the Leeds and Bradford areas in the 70s, 80s and early 90s and the main reason behind my RM Web moniker as I remember this loco well (03 060) shuffling the parcels stock at Bradford Interchange. A lot of stock is already in the cupboard in readiness for a future layout ...after my WHL layout is complete.

Kind regards,

Ian.

  • 2 weeks later...

Collected my saved copy yesterday from my local  independent newsagent, who I like to support.

Another excellent reference volume - I have the previous three - and definitely ones to keep.  Printed on good quality paper - no waving!

Great prototype articles and loads of modelling too - I really like the articles on modifying models.

Keep up the good work Simon, and all the other contributors.  Looking forward to more volumes please!

Awesome edition! I've really enjoyed this one alot but all are fantastic and I'm looking forward to next one :)

Anyone who hasn't got these I was pinged with a black friday 25% off email from the online shop.  I still think each edition is a bargain at full price!

Will coaches be on the menu at all?

cheers Will
