thanks neil!

i wonder why they are making nohabs?  yes they are popular - but its a crowded market with Heljan, b models, roco, nmj and other olders versions. anyway i look forward to seeing them and might be tempted!

there is belgian version of a prussian 2-8-2 tank engine as well i noticed.

i quite like the ns 2000 (american whitcomb shunter) but can't keep buying expensive trains...

cheers

tim

Does anyone know when Hornby are going to announce their 2022 international range? I know there UK outline stuff is announced on the 10th Jan, but i'm pretty sure the international range is different.

There’s a photo of a page from the new Hornby/Jouef catalog here;

https://forum.e-train.fr/viewtopic.php?f=65&t=93901

showing details of forthcoming SNCF TEE ‘Grand Confort’ coaches in H0.

These would be very, very welcome if it comes to pass as the old Jouef and indeed, Lima models are really just toys and the very nice LSM versions are as rare as hens teeth and twice as expensive! They always go for over €100 per coach if they come up.

Jouef 2022

Looks like the Grand Conforts will happen too!

€76 each RRP, yeah - it’s to be expected I guess. I’m just happy they’re happening.

the links on that website above too.

A few Hornby Skaledale items in there (e.g. R7339 War Memorial) except they don't appear under Hornby listings!

I do like the look of the (FS) E402.142 in the new RFI livery but those colours are a bit on the bright side. I hope they are correct when the model arrives.

The current high prices for coaches mean that buying any type that was mainly seen in long rakes of the same type is a real pain

High prices promote 'compact' layouts and mean that researching mixed rakes takes priority!

Hi Gordon,

Quite right, I don’t know if I could ever have a scale length ‘Etandard’ or ‘‘L’Aquitaine” on my layout BUT all I meant was that;

a. This is a price to be expected these days.

b. It’s quite a bit cheaper than the online auction prices for the LSM versions.

also, c. Did these coaches ever run in short rakes, please?

Cheers,

John E.
