RMweb Premium SR71 Posted February 20, 2022 RMweb Premium Share Posted February 20, 2022 I have a prospective buyer outside of my offered shipping area. We tried eBay global shipping but that quoted nearly 4 times the item value and 6 times what I'm getting quoted. I know there will be duties etc in the eBay cost but that shouldn't be multiples. We've agreed a shipping cost and in the old PayPal days I would have told the buyer to purchase, but not pay, then issue an adjusted invoice. With the new pay through eBay can you do something similar? Everyone pays immediately now (which is good) but means I've never seen what the options are. micklner
Just issue a refund on any excess charge.
RMweb Gold chris p bacon Posted February 20, 2022 RMweb Gold Share Posted February 20, 2022 (edited) I recently sold some records, One purchaser in Sydney, Oz, had multiple purchases which Ebay would not combine. We worked out the postage cost and agreed that if we both cancelled the sale I would relist as a Buy it now for the amount agreed and send the link. I did this, the buyer re-purchased and they were sent. All worked ok and buyer left + feedback. Edited February 20, 2022 by chris p bacon 4
Quarryscapes
As long as they don't pay straight away, you should be able to send an amended invoice.
