Class 31, by Accurascale - It's time 2 Brush Up!

Recommended Posts

2004 when Hornby Brought out the Class 31, I’ve got a bit of soft spot for these locos as I did my apprenticeship at the RTC in derby from 2005 to 2018. I hope the Network Rail ones are on the cards! 31105 or 31465? Would you guys be going to model the SGT Equipment on with 31233, 31285 and not sure 31602?

anyway we’ll done! Can’t wait for the painted simples!

In time I'm sure - like any BR diesel post 1980 theres a myriad of liveries

But isn't an early one shown on the heading photo without top box and with white circles but non showing on the official site. https://PaulBartlett.zenfolio.com/class31/e5ba9b3bc   https://PaulBartlett.zenfolio.com/class31/e5ba96c1a

And non of the beautiful Railfreight sector triple grey. https://PaulBartlett.zenfolio.com/class31/e5ba98826

Very happy with this announcement. Lost patience with Hornby long ago regarding a 31/4 in blue. I look forward to hearing the startup sequence and may I suggest flames for those particularly cold start ups?

Hi Fran

Will you be offering EM and P4 wheelsets once they arrive?  And will paying in instalments also be possible?

Thanks, Chris

Hi @rorz101uk,

We absolutely will see yellow ones at some point, don't worry!

Hi Paul,

We have picked 10 liveries for this first announcement and more will certainly follow, but like 37s the 31s carried a myriad of liveries across their carers. We intend to make them all, but we cant bring them all to market at once. We will get there though!

Cheers!

Was supposed to be cutting my model railway spending but you haven't helped! Hopefully I can pay in installments like last time to enable me to pay it off before delivery therefore avoiding credit card use.

Thank you though never thought I would be so excited to see a new class 31 being announced!

Well, two sound fitted models ordered. My self-imposed Hornby embargo now feels vindicated as the only two models I would have missed were the 31 and 56. and I now have both pre-ordered with Accurascale and Cavalex - happy days :D

You'll be gutted when you see what Kohler has up his sleeves as his answer to these two upstart companies stealing his models. :D
