RMweb Premium Kylestrome Posted March 15, 2022 RMweb Premium Share Posted March 15, 2022 (edited) I'm currently following the tracking information for an N scale loco that I've just bought from eBay.com (US). To say that the route it's taking is fascinating would be an understatement: 12. March 2022, 23:20 Arrived at USPS Regional Origin Facility YBOR CITY FL DISTRIBUTION CENTER 13. March 2022, 3:05 Accepted at USPS Origin Facility CLEARWATER, FL 33764 13. March 2022, 7:04 Departed USPS Regional Facility YBOR CITY FL DISTRIBUTION CENTER 13. March 2022, 7:21 Departed USPS Regional Facility YBOR CITY FL DISTRIBUTION CENTER 14. March 2022, 2:42 Arrived at USPS Regional Facility CINCINNATI OH NETWORK DISTRIBUTION CENTER 14. March 2022, 16:45 Arrived at USPS Regional Origin Facility YBOR CITY FL DISTRIBUTION CENTER 14. March 2022, 18:35 Departed USPS Regional Origin Facility YBOR CITY FL DISTRIBUTION CENTER The package originated in Clearwater, Florida and now appears to be leaving Ybor City, Tampa FL for the third time – or maybe not? I wonder if I'll ever receive It? Edited March 15, 2022 by Kylestrome 1

Crosland
I've had similar with parcels going the other way. Up and down the west coast for a week until it was finally delivered. At the time I put it down to the pandemic.

Only the 2nd time for leaving Ybor (note that two of them are 17 minutes apart so likely a double scan) At a guess what has actually happened is: Accepted Clearwater (accepted has to be the first entry as that is USPS taking the package from the shipper - somebody was just late in scanning the relevant stuff). Arrive Ybor Depart Ybor Arrive Cincinnati (missing) depart Cincinnati Arrive Ybor Depart Ybor This is probably a sign USPS is attempting to find space on a flight to Europe, most indications are shipping is still a mess particularly crossing the Atlantic.
RMweb Premium Kylestrome Posted March 16, 2022 Author RMweb Premium Share Posted March 16, 2022 It's in Indianapolis now. I wonder if it will take a couple of laps of the speedway before heading back to Tampa?
F-UnitMad
Stuff can take the scenic route here, too, it's how centralised distribution hubs work, often against all logic. I bought an item once from a seller fairly local to me. 1st day, it went to the Birmingham depot. 2nd day it went to the central hub at East Midlands airport. 3rd day, back to Birmingham depot. I think I finally got it a couple of days after that. But yes, watching your package tour the USA before it crosses the Pond is interesting & frustrating in equal measure.
