RMweb Premium The White Rabbit Posted May 4, 2022 RMweb Premium Share Posted May 4, 2022 Sadly, due to serious illness, neither Elmet Images or I will be there. Hopefully, neither of us are completely finished yet - we have a cost price sale on our stock atm to clear some space - and I hope to restart my own modelling soon. The original plan, pre-Covid and pre-illness was to be there with a OO9 layout as well as a sales stand. The 2020 (cancelled) show was to have been Sticklepath Lane's second outing. Pah... It's particularly aggravating as we were particularly looking forward to the show and looking at the details above, it's clear the club's building on previous shows and developing something special. I'd echo Dave's comments above. Hopefully we'll make it in the future.
Fiat500
Just a reminder folks that it is next weekend (21/22nd May) that the NMRS will welcome you all to the Grenoside Community Centre for our 3rd exhibition, and first at the new venue. There will be 18 layouts present (not eight as stated in one of the modelling magazines!), along with trade and demonstrator support. Entry fees are £6 (adult) and £3 (child) with a £15 family ticket also available (2+2), and each adult ticket entitles the bearer to a free tea/coffee from the on-site café. Opening times are 10-5 on Saturday, and 10-4.30 on Sunday.

88D
Culm has been tested, and worked perfectly. Hooray! I hope the dismantling and transport doesn’t mess it up! Looking forward to the show tomorrow, and wondering hiw rusty everybody will be operating their layouts.
Fiat500
Unfortunately due to circumstances beyond our control, the ride-on steam train will be unable to attend the show this weekend. However, the Sheffield Model Engineers are having a running day on their Abbeydale Miniature Railway on Sunday 22nd. NMRS apologises for any inconvenience caused. Fiat500
On behalf of the NMRS, thank you to the members of the public who visited the show over the weekend, and for providing overwhelmingly positive feedback on the layouts and trade present at the show, and on the new venue. A big thank you also to all the exhibitors, traders and demonstrators who supported us over the two days - we're glad that you enjoyed your weekend and we could not have put on a show of such quality without your attendance. Congratulations also to Dai (88D) for winning the 'Best in Show' award with 'Culm'. All being well, the next show held by NMRS will be on the weekend of 20th/21st May 2023. 1
