GRC
Hi Folks, Doing a bit of research for the Museum at Shillingstone on the original goods shed before they were replaced with the concrete provender sheds in the 1930's. Does anyone have any Photo's I could use or drawings of the original sheds ? I use sheds loosely as I heard that the original may have been wooden but assume from the work done at the station in the 1870's through to sometime in the 1930's a standard brick built shed was in place similar to that at Sturminster, Blandford and Stalbridge. If anyone knows why this was replaced that would be great 🙂 Thanks Gavin...
RailWest
AFAIK all the various 'avenues' of research on the subject of the old goods shed have been explored quite extensively already by the NDR to no avail 😞 But good luck if you turn up something new 🙂
