Hi,

I am naturally naïve, I actually thought that by entering the words - ‘dcc installation Bachmann 32-166’ into Google that I would find something. Instead just links to those selling a Bachmann 32-166.

Luckily, one image was the box end which shows a 6-pin DCC symbol but no other guidance.

May I ask, is the intended decoder a 6-pin direct or does it need a harness and where is the decoder interface?

Thank you for any guidance, I am trying to obtain a decoder before the model arrives.

Thanks to John at YouChoos, an MX616N pre-fitted with a LifeLink and Tantalums is the answer. Until recently, I was never a stay-alive devotee but John fitted one to a mediocre 4-4-0 and now I intend to retrofit all with them.
