Fitting a sound chip into a Bachmann Class 03

I recently picked up a Bachmann Class 03 (03026) which was originally fitted with a sound chip, but for some reason, it was removed.  As Bachmann don’t sell the sound chip and speaker originally fitted to the loco, can anyone recommend a suitable replacement?

 

I would also point out that the loco is fitted with a Next 18 socket, so I don’t know if that limits my choice of decoder?

I've got three fitted with digitrains ones and are superb. The Bachmann 03 really needs a stay-alive to run well

The Legomanbiffo one is good too, just remember the latest Bachmann model has a Next 18 Decoder and a Coreless motor.  See:

I fitted an older 03 with a decoder from Charlie and a stay-alive. It drives really well and sounds good:

 

 

The decoder sits on the cab floor with the stay-alive black-tacked to the cab ceiling. It is possible to see the electronics if you look closely but from a normal viewing distance they cannot be seen.
